Charlton: Kathleen Ann "Kay" (nee Mifflin)

A resident of Chatham (Glenwood), Kay Charlton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. Kay will now be joining her husband the late Claude Charlton (1973). She was predeceased by her parents William and Annie (Parker) Mifflin, her son William Albert "Abby" Charlton (2015), her sister June Wilson (Fred), brother Ivan Mifflin, sister Arlene Allen and many in-laws on the Charlton side.

Loving mother-in- law of Denise (Normandin) Charlton of Chatham. Dear grandmother of Dennis and Laurie Charlton of Kitchener, and Cindy and Sam Zilio of Gravenhurst. Proud great grandmother of Ewan and Isaac Charlton, Zachary and Emily Zilio.

She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Catherine Mifflin, Lois Charlton, and Mary Lynn Cox (Dunbar) and brother-in-law Richard Allen, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Kay worked for over 25 years at the Southwest Regional Centre in Dealtown. She loved spending time with family and friends, camping, going on road trips, and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jay games. She also enjoyed making and decorating cakes and gingerbread houses for family and friends. Even at 90 Years old she was still a young at heart!

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Monday, September 18, 2023. Interment to follow at Shanks Cemetery.
