Ramsden: Clara Laurina (née Wood) -
A resident of Chatham, Clara Ramsden passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on September 29, 2023 at the age of 100.
Born in Harwich Township, Clara was the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (née Dowd) Wood.
Beloved wife of 26 years to the late Ronald Ramsden.
Cherished mother of Francis Allen (Tom), Nancy Moore (Bill), Paul Ramsden (late Gail), Ken Ramsden (Carol), Larry Ramsden (Renate), Barb Nelmes (Bill), Dennis Ramsden (Shirley), Brenda Board, Mary Jinkerson, Betty Ramsden, David Ramsden (Cathy), Barry Ramsden (late Bonnie), Herbert Ramsden (Sue), Mark Ramsden (Marie) and Edward Ramsden (late Kelly). Predeceased by her daughter Lucy Pickard (2002); sons Albert (1983), Harry (2014), infant son Claire (1943) and Matthew (2022).
Proud grandmother to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Clara is the last surviving member of her family, she is predeceased by all her brothers and sisters.
Clara's family will lovingly remember her for her love of crocheting, spending time with her grandkids, and family gatherings. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Blenheim.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 141 Park St. Blenheim on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m and on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Clara's life will held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Burk Cemetery.
