Obituary of Gus Sonneveld
Sonneveld, Gosewinus Johannes
Gosewinus "Gus" Sonneveld died suddenly at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday September 28th, 2023 at the age of 73.
Gus was born in Chatham, Ontario, on August 24, 1950, son of Gus and Joan Sonneveld.
Gus is survived by his loving wife of 51years, Dina Sonneveld (VanderSpek).
Loving brother of Jack (2016) and Shelley Sonneveld, Ruth Ann and Bryan Shoemaker, Henry and Darlene Sonneveld, Ben and Mary Jo Sonneveld, Wesley Sonneveld, Wilma Sonneveld Wright and Richard Wright, Juliana Sonneveld and Kevin Slavadori.
Beloved Brother in Law of Arie (predeceased) and his wife Johanna VanderSpek, Peter (Marianne) VanderSpek and John VanderSpek.
He will be fondly remembered by 21 Nephews and Nieces and 13 Great Nieces and Nephews.
He was a longtime resident of Raleigh Township in which he took pride in working on his farm and at the Southwest Regional Centre. Gus will be remembered by his family and friends for his wonderful sense of humour and his ability to make people laugh.
Donations made in Gus's memory to the Charity of your Choice or World Renew would be appreciated by the family.
