BRADLEY: David Allen -

A resident of Dover Township, David Bradley passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday October 1, 2023 at the age of 100.

Born in Chatham to the late Bruce and Marjory (Sigler) Bradley.

Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Margaret (Quick) Bradley.

Loving father of Curtis (Diane), Barbara (John Vander Linden) and Jane Bradley.

Proud grandfather of Ian (Nicole), Andrea (Nate), David (Cara); Jordan (Elizabeth), Jarrod (Jodi), Fallan (Josh); Emily (Adrian) and Christopher

and great-grandfather to Charlotte, Sophia, Ari, Liam; Georgia, Curtis; Jackson, Finn, Chloe and Mason.

Special friend of Vira Jones. He will be missed by Vira’s children, Stephanie and Pat Nagle, Rob Jones, Bill and Anna Jones, Gord (late Michelle) Jones and their families.

Predeceased by his brothers Robert (Mary) and John (Betty) as well as his in-laws Norma (Gordon) Brand and Marilyn (Howard) Bowes.

Survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his nephew Stephen Bradley and niece Heather Bradley.

David was an owner and operator of Bradley Farms since his return from the Air Force in 1945. He ran a large and diversified farming operation including cash crops, vegetables and livestock. He was inducted into the Kent Federation of Agriculture Hall of Fame in 2013 for his many contributions to the local farming community. He served on several boards over the years: Ontario Seed Corn Growers, Kent Vegetable Board, Kent Federation of Agriculture, Ontario Sugar Beet Board and the Cattleman’s Association. As well as farming, he was a partner with his brothers in operating a wild fowl hunting club. His experience with marsh and environmental management resulted in a successful meshing of the farming and hunting business. In addition, he was involved with his brothers John and Bob as they undertook many business developments in Chatham.

A private Family Service will be held at a later date with interment to follow at St.Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery.
