Obituary of Robert Colby
Colby: Robert George-
A resident of Ridgetown, Robert Colby passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on October 4, 2023 at the age of 59.
Born in Chatham, Robert was the son of the late Peter and Phyllis (née Stocker) Colby.
Loving brother to Ann (Bill) McCracken, Deanna (Late Lyle) Barkley, Charles (Barbara) Colby, Catherine (Jerry) Fridrich, Bill (Liz) Colby, Henry (Brenda) Colby, Elaine (Robert) Colby Dubuque, Jane (Don) Colby-Robbins, and Christine (Jean) LeDuc.
Proud uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and great-uncle to a select few.
He will be dearly missed by his big, big buddy Andrew.
Robert will be deeply missed by many friends and his Community Living Family.
Robert loved to go bowling, fishing, swimming, and being the life of the party, he loved to do the chicken dance and tease.
Family would like to say a special thank you to the nursing staff, Dr. Turnbull and Dr. Naeem at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance who helped Robert with his final journey.
Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday October 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday October 14, 2023 11:00am- 1:00pm followed by a Funeral Liturgy at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Robert to the Community Living Chatham-Kent, Thamesville Sertoma Christmas Campaign or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
