Obituary of Jean Harrison
Harrison: Leila Jean (née McDougall) -
After a wonderful and long life, Jean Harrison passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on October 13, 2023 at the age of 93.
Born in Port Stanley Ontario, on April 14, 1930 Jean was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (née Payne) McDougall and the late Charles Waite.
Beloved wife of the late Ray Harrison (December 3, 2009).
Cherished mother to Michael Harrison (Lyn), Joseph Harrison (Nancy) and David Harrison (Laurie). Proud grandmother to Rebecca and Stephen Colella, Christopher and Sabrina Harrison, Jessica and Colin Bouwmeester. Special great-grandmother to Isaiah Colella, Maximus and Lawson Harrison and one expected on the way, Aiden and Brooklyn Bouwmeester.
Jean will also be dearly missed by her nieces Vicki, Kathy and Linda who were very special to her.
Predeceased by her sister Lois and her husband James Peterson along with her brother Douglas McDougall.
A special thank-you is extended to the staff of Blenheim Community Village for their tremendous care given to Jean.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Jean's life will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Carlisle Cemetery at a later date.
