Gervais: Luella -
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, Luella Gervais (née Charbonneau), born May 12th, 1929, formerly of Dover, on October 30, 2023 in her 95th year. Mom had said a week ago "I've had a good run".
She is now reunited with her late husband Francis (2013), her parents Hector and Leah, and her siblings Armand, Marcella Decan (Maurice) and Romeo (Shirley).
Loving and caring mother to Florence (Jean), Jacqueline, Aurele, Bonnie (Alfie) and Florin (Esther).
Grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 12.
She was a parishioner of Immaculée Conception Church in Pain Court and a member of La Société des Dames D'autel.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all of the staff at Grand Retirement Village, LHIN, Bayshore, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance 4th Floor and 3rd Floor Comfort Care for the great care and compassion given to our Mom.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court at 11:00am on Monday, November 6, 2023. Private family interment to follow at Immaculée Conception Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Luella to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
