Obituary of Rosaire Pinsonneault
Surrounded by his family, Rosaire Walter Pinsonneault, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the age of 91.
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eva (nee Arnel), and his children, Diane Guilbeault (Dan), Rosalie Wijsman (Gary Zimmer) and Roger, adored grandchildren, Megan Pinsonneault, Kate Pinsonneault, Brandon Wijsman (MacKenzie Klein), Emily Wijsman, Kyle Guilbeault and Allison Guilbeault and three great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Bridget and Owen.
Predeceased by his parents, Phillip Pinsonneault and Ida (nee Trudeau) and parents-in-law, John Arnel and Emily nee Moynahan), his siblings, in-laws and son-in-law, Dennis Wijsman.
He is survived by one sister, Pauline Tetreault, sisters-in-law, Mary Salive and Marie Arnel and brother-in-law, Ernest Caron, as well many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Retiring from Navistar after thirty years, he spent much of his time tinkering in the garage, driving around in his white Chevy truck to yard sales and taking care of his family - whether it was fixing something that was broken, babysitting, driving the grandkids wherever they needed to go or attending many of their special events.
He was always up for a good game of euchre and loved his country music. In younger days, he and mom were always the first ones on the dance floor. Christmas was definitely his favourite time of year, decorating the house and yard, putting up the tree, sampling all of the desserts that mom baked, wrapping presents with lots and lots of tape, and spending lots of family time together.
He will be forever missed!
Family to receive friends on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Visiting will continue on Monday from 9:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 32 Canal Street West, Tilbury. Burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. For those attending visitation, masks are optional but recommended.
In memory of Rosaire, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
