Obituary of Karen Eugenia Lyons

LYONS: Karen Eugenia (née Brown) -

A resident of Kent Bridge, Karen Lyons passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with family at her side on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the age of 82.

Born in Ridgetown, Karen was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marion (née Ball) Brown.

Predeceased by her husband George Lyons and her two older sisters Erma Perdu and Joan Richardson.

Loving mother of Vinton Snary (Carol Abrams), Victoria Snary, Mellissa Welford (Mike) and Brent Snary (Erin Trudgen). Survived by the father of her children, Harold Snary (Pat).

Proud Grandma of 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Karen worked at Beckers in Thamesville for 14 years before managing the kitchen at the Double T. She eventually got into property management, where she managed buildings in London through Woodstock until her retirement.

Karen was well loved by all of the students in her buildings. She will be remembered for her polite, friendly nature and her happy easy going manner.

As per Karen's wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will remember her privately.
