Obituary of Ron Henry Kent

A resident of Wyoming, Ron Henry Kent passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital.

He was the son of the late Ralph & Evelyn (nee Parnaby) Kent.

Remembered always by his wife of 58 beautiful years, Nancy Kent (nee Burnham).

Forever loved by his daughters, Venetia Moor (nee Neely), Barbara Einwechter and son, Tom Kent.

Proud grandfather of Brittany Moor (Patrick Leyte), Shayna Mathieu-Moor (Rachel), Hillary Ford (Andrew), & Ron Einwechter.

Great-grandfather of Hudson, Hendrick, Griffin Matthieu-Moor, Thomas, Smyth & Landon Ford.

Brother of Marie Allardyce.

Brother-in-law Diane Bourdeau (George).

Born in Oshawa, and growing up in Chatham, Ron graduated from CCI. He worked for several years with the Royal Bank in Chatham & Barrie, before moving along to International Harvester as a Material Purchaser where he traveled and worked all over. After retirement, him and Nancy enjoyed their winters in Florida where he played a mean game of shuffleboard. Ron was a sports enthusiast, playing baseball, hockey & golf and cheering on his beloved Chicago Blackhawks with a beer in his hand. Ron enjoyed life and being active. He was a true friend, trusted by many and will be reunited with his lifelong friends, Ken Charlton, and Bruce Allison. The three Muskateers will be back together. Ron was a devoted husband to Nancy, visiting with her everyday and ensuring she was well taken care of. A devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and even better friend, will be forever missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff of the LHSC - Critical Care Trauma Centre for their care, compassion and expertise. And to McKinlay Funeral Home for all of their care and love for taking care of one of their own.

Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Graveside Service.
