Obituary of Ruth Pearl Conliffe
Ruth Pearl Conliffe passed away at Copper Terrace on December 13, 2023 at the age of 101.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years Gordon Conliffe (2002).
Loved mother of Kaye (Glenn) Mills and Betty McNair and friend Rick DeGraff.
Ruth will be remembered by her grandchildren Julie (Greg) Martin, Jeff (Djurdjica) Mills, Andrea (Don) Newman, Brian (Kristy) McNair and Paul McNair. Great grandmother of Jessica, Jack (2003) and Mackenzie Martin, Madeleine, Carter, Maya Mills, Emily, Taylor, Jack Newman, William, and Isla McNair.
Predeceased by her parents Vev and Ila (Heath) George, sisters Helen George and twin sister Rose (Carmen) Weese, sister-in-law Jean (Howard) Stewart, and brother-in-law Don Conliffe. Survived by sister-in-law Shirley Conliffe.
Ruth is predeceased by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
She was a past member of French's United Church and Victoria Ave. United Church. She was a current member of St Paul's Congregational Church.
She enjoyed her interest in accounting at Lloyd Bag Company, Pioneer Corn and Community Living.
Family would like to extend sincere thanks to the caregivers at Copper Terrace for the compassionate care Mom received.
As per Ruth's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A private interment will take place in the family plot at Dresden Cemetery.
Donations in Ruth's memory may be made payable to The Residence Council - Copper Terrace and left at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, Ontario.
