Obituary of Thea Verburg
Thea went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the age of 78.
Beloved wife of Jack for 58 years.
Loving mother of Carol, Janet and Neil; and mother-in-law of John Dieleman and Mark Bos.
Much loved Grandma of Brian & Janna, Colin & Charlene, Leanne & Ryan, Laura & Job, Katelyn & Peter, Allison & Jake, Derek, Rachel; and Great-Grandma of Aleida and Sullivan.
Thea was the daughter of the late Peter and Menks Groenewegen.
Cherished sister of Anne & Charley, Coby & Hank, Pete & Jan, Herb & Susan, the late Jerry & Jane, and of her late infant brother John.
Thea had a genuine love for her family and dear friends. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering in her church and community and touched the lives of many with her kindness and thoughtfulness.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Thea's Life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 100 McNaughton Ave W., Chatham at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 28, 2023. The Service Livestream can be found below:
Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
