Obituary of Jeannette Bechard
A resident of Chatham, Jeanette Bechard passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the evening of Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the care of Riverview Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 92.
She was the daughter of the late Henry & Celina (nee Therrein) Maure.
Jeannette will be reunited with her devoted husband of 65 years, Raymond Bechard (2016).
Loving Mother to Annette (Jack) Lambe of Chatham, Diane (the late Alphonse, 2014) Gignac of Chatham, Thomas (Anne-Marie) Bechard of Pain Court, Robert (Carrie) Bechard of Pain Court, Suzanne (Dan) Demers of Dover Centre, Aline (Jean Guy) King of London and Janice (Dan) Meyerink of Chatham.
Beloved Grandmother to 19 Grandchildren, 40 Great-Grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandson.
Predeceased by her son, Paul Bechard & grandson, Jeff Blommers.
Survived by daughter-in-law, Becky Bechard and brother, André Maure.
Predeceased by her siblings, John, Loretta, Theresa, Noella, Ralph, Rosaire, Rose-marie, Vince, & Yvette.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Genevieve & Lori, and the staff of Riverview Gardens Nursing Home 5East for their care and love showed to mom during her time there.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 10:00 am until a Memorial Liturgy at 12:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with a burial in Immaculée Cemetery, Pain Court at a later date.
Donations in memory of Jeannette may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or charity of choice.
