Karen and Dan...... We were saddened to learn that Orv has left us, but rejoice in his entry into his heavenly home. Dear Karen, dear Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your father's passing. Orville was a wonderful man. I'll never forget his kindness, his intelligence, and his care for my family.
I'm grateful to God I had the chance to meet him when he was on his Mission Trip to Ukraine. A short visit turned into years of friendship, guidance and support. His heart was always big, loving and open. And his words of God's love for us and God's guidance helped me in most difficult times.
And now we share deepest condolences with your family. Thinking of you in these difficult times.

Dear Karen & Dan, Jeff and Delaney, Emmett and Rachel,
Your Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather was a wonderful human being that we felt privileged to know. His faith in God and his zest for life were inspiring to us. We had the communality of being local High School teachers and we loved sharing stories about teaching. From seeing Orv at church, MBC or just at his home, he always had a twinkle in his eye and a sparkle in his steps. His love of Christ and making home known was shown in his work with helping to start Bibles for Missions and the local Christian radio station- what a legacy!!
He loved being at MBC as well and we happened to see him in September of 2011 enjoying a beautiful sunset there. I cannot help but think he is now in heaven, enjoying spectacular vistas and enjoying the company of fellow saints! Orville was one of a kind!

I had Mr Gleason at BDHS in the late 80s. He was a very kind man. When I saw that his mother was a Dool, I checked my genealogy info. His grandmother Mary Jane Garrod Dool and my great grandmother Elizabeth Louise Garrod Tye were sisters, making us second cousins once removed. My condolences on your loss.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Gleason. My prayers are with his family. Mr. and Mrs. G were the leaders of our youth group at Emmanuel Baptist Church when I was a teenager. They spent so much time with us and were truly dedicated to that ministry. They were always ready to listen and counsel and I will always appreciate them.

To the family of Orville Gleason-
When I read of your father and grandfather's passing, the words "Well done, good and faithful servant" came readily to mind. He lived his life to the full and was part of so many ministries that have touched and continue to touch countless numbers of people. I first met him when we were both teaching high school and we got our ISCF groups together for a joint event. We met many more times over the years, always blessed by his warm smile and enthusiasm. I had the pleasure of being a teacher with Orv at John McGregor Secondary School and later at Blenheim District High School until he retired.
I always thought that he was serious about life but that he had fun living his life. He was well-regarded by both students and colleagues.
