Obituary of Rosemary Yott

Rosemary Agnes (nee Brady) YOTT 

YOTT, Rosemary Agnes (Brady) – Rosemary passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens Long Term Care Home on January 14, 2024, at the age of 85. 

Rosemary was born in Raleigh Township on March 18, 1938, and was the daughter of the late James “Hilliard” and Mary “Madeleine” (Gerber) Brady. 

Dear mother of Rose Braxton (Mike) of London, John Yott of Thorhild, Alberta, Patrick Yott and Denise Dent of Chatham. Survived by 3 grandchildren, Michael Yott (Zeina), Brittany Labombard (James), Joel Yott (Jenna) and 9 great-grandchildren, Brady, Lucas, Bentley, Austin, Phoenix, Bronx, Jackson, Haley and Nash. 

Sister of John Brady (Barb), Greg Brady, Margaret Davis, Fred Brady, Patricia Holman and sister-in-law Paula Brady. Predeceased by her children’s father, Louis Yott, two brothers Gerald Brady, Walter Cyril “Bud” Brady and a sister Pauline Boyle. She is also predeceased by sisters-in-law Jeannette Brady, Arleen Brady, Elise Brady and brother-in-law Bill Davis. 

Rosemary was a Registered Practical Nurse and retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital after 33 years in health care service working in several different departments. Her work on the Chronic Care floor caring for elderly patients was where she gained the most satisfaction in her nursing career. 

The family will receive relatives and friends on January 26, 2024, from 10:00am to 11:30 at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, Ontario followed by a Celebration of Rosemary’s Life. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Burial at a later date. 

Rosemary’s family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Gardens 5W, Achieva Health and Dr. Anthony Dickson for their care and compassion.
