Obituary of Gilbert Jubenville

JUBENVILLE: Gilbert Blake “Butch” .

May 13, 1953-February 3, 2024

Gilbert Blake “Butch” Jubenville of Ridgetown, Ontario passed away comfortably and peacefully February 3rd, 2024, at the age of 70. His sons, Len and Cory, his sister Cheryl, and brother-in-law Ed were at the bedside at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario.

Butch is pre-deceased by his wife Pamela (nee Hassan), brother Perry, and mother Donez (nee Reaume) and father Leonard Jubenville. He is survived by his sons Leonard (Robyn) of Rodney, Ontario, and Cory (Jeanette) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and grandchildren Blake, Jackson, and August. Butch is also survived by sisters Darlene (Lonnie), and Cheryl (Ed), and his brother Bruce (Lorraine). Butch also leaves memories with many nieces and nephews and their children.

Butch is fondly remembered by his grandchildren as a provider of candy, and fishing buddy. His sons remember affectionately journeys across North America, co-piloting the truck. From those trucking days, Butch was known far and wide - it was hard to travel anywhere without hearing Butch’s trucking call sign: “Extra.”

Butch was an aficionado of Law and Order, CSI, Ice Road Truckers, and anything fishing. If you have ever asked yourself about a TV show, “who watches that?”, the answer is undoubtedly “Butch”.

We kindly ask that you share your stories, memories, and pictures of Butch with the family. A celebration of life will be planned in the late Spring of 2024.

A special thank you goes out to the professional, compassionate and respectful staff on the respirology ward at Victoria Hospital.
