GAUDETTE: Marie Yvette

Yvette Gaudette, 82, of Ridgetown, Ontario died peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2024 at The Blenheim Community Village in Blenheim, Ontario.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph (Cam) Duplessis and Agnes (Beaudry); Her husbands: Ronald Gagne and Romeo Gaudette; Her soul mate and the love of her life, Art Flett; Her brothers: Harvey, Maurice, Andre and Roland; Her sister-in-law Teresa (Maurice). Her grandchildren Shane, Jamie and Jessica

Survived by her children Susan, Sandra, Wayne, Wendy Gagne and Wanda (Rick) Houle; her sister Anne (Elmor) Haley; her grandchildren Zachary (Hailee), Celina (Brandon); Robert, Michael (Jennifer), Nikki, Kyle, Annya (Luke) and Sarah (Noah); her great-grandchildren Zade, Westyn, Robbie, Madison, Grayden, Mavis, Tobias, Noah, Wesley, Austin and Willow. Her favourite cousin, Sylvia Humphreys and her best friend, Sandy Eleanor and by Anne Crocker, Art’s sister who always ensured Yvette was well cared for.

In her younger years Yvette loved to dance and never left the dance floor until the music stopped. Her great passion was Bingo. She didn’t care if the prize was a chocolate bar or $1000. She entered into every game with the same enthusiasm.

Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be laid to rest with Art’s ashes. A celebration of life is planned for September with planting of a tree in Ridgetown in her memory.

Special thanks to the staff of the Blenheim Community Village where Yvette spent the last four years. She felt at home there and the staff were like a family to her.
