Obituary of Daniel Beecroft
BEECROFT: Daniel Marvin
April 16, 1943 - February 22, 2024
Dan was the son of the late Reg and Melba (McLeod) Beecroft and the oldest brother of six.
He married his only and forever sweetheart Lynn (Welsh) and they were overjoyed with the birth of a daughter and son.
Dan was a self employed business man at Bob and Dan’s Garage Limited for 33 years with his late partner Bob Gammage.
He was a loving family man who together with his wife provided endless memories of yearly family summer vacations camping, boating, fishing, attending car races as well as winter snowmobile trips.
Dan and Lynn travelled south in the RV to Daytona for race week.
They vacationed in the south with and spent Friday nights playing aggravation with best friends Brian and Glenda.
He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and loved their fur babies Maggie and Jordie.
Dan dedicated 31 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Ridgetown Howard Fire Department.
He was an avid hunter and anticipated their annual trip north to the moose camp with the guys.
Dan and Lynn passed on their 1970 Torino to the boys and they spent many hours together restoring and bringing it back to its original state.
Dan leaves his loving wife Lynn, his daughter Beverly (Scott), his son Greg (Jody), grandchildren Rachael Neville (David), Drew Neville (Rachel), Josh Beecroft (Nicole) and Jenna Beecroft.
Predeceased by brother Brian, brother Kevin and sister Janice Ramboer, Dan also leaves his brother Warren (Annemarie), his sister Cheryle Byrne, brother-in-law Andy Welsh (Noreen), sister-in-law Susan (Don), brother-in-law Robert (Marie), nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Dan had the pleasure of meeting numerous friends and comrades throughout his lifetime and will be missed by many.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Firefighter's walk through will be held on Sunday at 6:30pm.
A Private Family Service will be held with interment to follow at Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
Donations made in memory of Dan to the Highgate Lion's Club, Ducks Unlimited, Sydenham Field Naturalists or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
