Obituary of Robert Bromley
BROMLEY: Robert "Bob" Acton -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Perth, Bob Bromley passed away suddenly at home after a brief illness on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 73.
Born in Kingston, Bob was the son of the late Walter and Jean (née Acton) Bromley.
Beloved husband of 51 years to Theresa (née Brady).
Loving and cherished father to James Bromley (Jessica), Jennifer Mitchell and Janna Stawarz (Steve).
Proud Papa to Payden, Lucas, Avery, Jake, Bodie, Emmitt, Brooks and Emily.
Dear brother to Bill Bromley (late Shirley) and Dave Bromley (Claire).
Brother-in-law to the late Mary Lou Moore (Terry), Patricia Wing, Bonny Godfrey (Kirk), Bill Brady (Judy), John Brady (Donna) and Barb McKnight (Bill).
Also missed by numerous, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Bob retired as an area manager for the Royal Bank of Canada after over 30 years of service. In his retirement, he joined his Chatham Kia family, where he enjoyed working for over 10 years. He was well liked and deeply respected by his customers, colleagues and anyone he came across.
Bob's door was always open for family and friends. He loved spending quality time with his grandchildren and was an avid Nascar fan.
As per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00pm.
Donations made in memory of Bob to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
