It is with tremendous sadness the family of Ron Bellefleur announce his peaceful passing at the Chatham-Kent Hospice in the early morning of Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at age of 71. 

He was the son of the late Ronald (1999) & Irene (Quinlan, 2020) Bellefleur. 

Forever missed by his wife, Donna (Parent), son, Brent (Florence & grandson, Liam) & daughter, Brittany (Nick). 

Brother of Jim Bellefleur (Wanda) and the late Rob Bellefleur (2018). Brother-in-law of Cathy Bellefleur. 

Brother-in-law of Leo Parent (Joan) & Doris Bonneau (Ron).

Predeceased by sister-in-law, Doreen Fields (Ray).

He will be dearly missed by his nieces & nephews. 

Ron retired as an Industrial Engineer in Canada & the USA for many years. In retirement, he was a Master Taster for Smith & Wilson Winery. He truly embodied the idea of working hard and playing hard and made the absolute most of his years on earth.

A self proclaimed Renaissance Man in his own right. No description of ours could be more accurate. He was an angler, lifelong traveler, wine & beer connoisseur, backyard grill master, martial artist (owning two karate clubs in the 1970's). He was also a weekly squash player, a fitness enthusiast, a historian and vivacious reader. He had an appreciation for art, music, mindfulness, literature, film, and especially, conversation (mostly heated debates). 

Most of all, he was a great Friend, loving Husband, and exceptional Father. 

He will be missed, immensely.

Friends to be received on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 2:30 pm. 

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Ron, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, YMCA or to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent.
