Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kenneth B. Clarke, OMM, CD1-
A resident of Blenheim, Ken Clarke passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on April 24, 2024 at the age of 94.
Born in Windsor, Kenneth was the son of the late Arthur and Mildred (née Harding) Clarke.
Husband of 67 years to Rosemary (née Townsend ).
Cherished father of Susan Clarke, Ross Clarke (Selina) and the late Robert Clarke (1985). Proud grandfather to David (Siobhan), Eric, Amanda (Darnell Brown), Melissa Langis (Derek) and great-grandfather to Benjamin, Ruby and his new best friend great-grandaughter Aria.
Uncle and great-uncle to many Clarke and Townsend nieces and nephews.
Last surviving sibling of the late Arthur Clarke, William Clarke, Edith Bogart, Kay Taylor, June Battson. Brother-in-law to Ethel Townsend (William) and Pamela and James Townsend.
Ken joined the RCAF in 1958 and retired in 1985, having served in Portage la Prairie, Winnipeg, Toronto, RAF Hendon, UK., Lahr, Germany and Ottawa.
In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim for memorial visitation on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ken's life will be held at 1:00 p.m.. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
Donations made in memory of Ken to the Blenheim Military Museum or Blenheim Medical Health Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
