Obituary of Sandy Coll

Coll: Earl  "Sandy" Edward -

A resident of Chatham, Earl  "Sandy" Coll  passed away surrounded by family and friends at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on May 4, 2024 at the age of 71.

Born in Chatham, raised in Erieau, Sandy was the son of Earl and Irene (née Fields) Coll.

Husband to Diane (2012).

Forever loved by his Daughters, Stacey (Mike); Megan, and Michelle. Beloved Papa and Grandpa to Michael, Dylan, Caiden, Hudson, Paislee, Dimari and Lennon.

Sandy was predeceased by his siblings, his sisters Diane Coll, Debbie Marriott, and his brother Wayne "Riley" Coll and is survived by his Brother Rick Coll (Carol), Raymond Coll, Pattie (John)Spacil.

Very special uncle to Lisa Resendes, and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Best friend to Sandy Sedge.

Sandy was well known in his community from his days at Motor Wheel to growing up in Erieau; to his time living in Chatham at the corner of Park and Duke Street.  You could catch him sitting at his patio.  He had a passion for Die Cast cars, and was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the San Francisco 49's. If your knew him, you knew he loved life, he was a jokester and a true troubadour of sarcastic jabs. He was always up for a chat, a story and a joke. No matter rich or poor, he treated everyone the same. He worked and lived in Chatham-Kent, and wanted to leave it a better place with the opportunities given to him.  He worked as the past President on the Board of Directors for the Co-Op, at the Ontario Works Program as a Co-ordinator. Acting as a role-model, mentoring and lending his time and knowledge to all of the participants. Sandy worked many years with the Jaycee's running the annual fairgrounds, the Haunted house events, and the Christmas Tree Fundraising.

Donations made in memory of Earl  "Sandy" Coll to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
