Obituary of Fran Johnson

Johnson: Frances Eileen (née Abray) -

A resident of Windsor, Frances Johnson passed away on April 30, 2024 at the age of 72.

Born in Chatham, Frances was the daughter of Clifford and Norma (née MacDougall) Abray.

Beloved wife of the late Allan Johnson. Stepmum to the late Bevan Johnson and his wife Nicky Whiteside, and Shawn Johnson. Step-grandmother to Ethan Johnson, Quinn Johnson and Callum Whiteside. Sister-in-law of Christine ( née Johnson) Holliday. Dear sister to Robin and Denise Abray, Patrice Herberholz and the late Randy Herberholz, Charlie and Shelley Abray, Sue and Jim Sommerdyk. Fran will also be dearly missed her nieces and nephews; Rebecca, Danielle and Tony Rizk, Sarah Hatt, Mike Abray and Jackie, Robert and Samantha Arbor, Erik Sommerdyk, Matt and Ramona Sommerdyk and Sean and Melinda Sommerdyk; great-aunt to Audrey, Ainsley, Ella, Evander, MJ, Savannah and Elle.

In keeping with Fran's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather at the McKinlay Funeral Home Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, May 9th between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a time of remembrance and to celebrate Fran's life. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations made in memory of Fran to Breast Cancer Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated would be appreciated by the family.
