Gamester: Marian Elizabeth (née Keane) -
A resident of Chatham, originally from Merlin, Marian Gamester passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the age of 90.
Born in Chatham, Marian was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (née Turner) Keane.
Beloved wife of 56 years to Fred Gamester.
Loving mother of Janet Osborne (Alex), the late J. David McKeon (2021) and Jennifer McKeon.
Proud Nana to Katie McKeon, Laurel Osborne, Lisa Deck (Tom), Kaela McKeon (John) and Rebecca Catchpole.
Super Nana to Liam Deck.
Predeceased by her five brothers, Carl, Gord, Ross, Ken and Shurley.
Sister-in-law to Vera Keane.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Marian was an elementary school teacher in Chatham and North York for over 30 years. She was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 465 Merlin and a former member of the I.O.D.E.. She was passionate about genealogical research and a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society.
A Private Family Service will be held. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Marian to the Royal Canadian Legion. Br, 465 Merlin would be appreciated by the family.
