Obituary of Lee Francis Fox

FOX: Lee Francis -

A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Kent Centre, Lee Fox passed away at Riverview Gardens with family at his side on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the age of 88.

Born in Colchester, Lee was the son of the late Roy and Fern (née Borland) Fox.

Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Dorothy (née Hoyles) (2011).

Much loved father of Terry Pogachar and Jodi Morrison (Brent Babcock), and late Michael Fox (2009), all of Chatham.

Proud Grandpa / Pop of Andrew Morrison (Angela) of Chatham, Joseph Morrison of Edmonton, AB, Jessica Kantor (Brock) of Vineland and Devon Riddolls (Jay) of Trenton.

Great-Grandpa to Quinn Morrison, Rebecca Morrison, Kyra Babcock, Nia Babcock, Jakob Kantor, Kayta Kantor and Autumn Kantor.

Brother to Wayne Fox (Brenda) of Pennsylvania. Predeceased by his brother Jim Fox (late Shirley) and Donald Fox (late Irma).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Lee retired from Chatham Hydro after over 35 years of service. He also ran Lee Fox Tree Service throughout his life. In his retirement, he enjoyed working on his hobby farm.

Lee's first love was his family and his second love was baseball, especially his Detroit Tigers. He was also a competitive bowler, hockey player and golfer.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00pm.

A Graveside Service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 with Pastor Jamie Tiffin officiating.

Donations made in memory of Lee to the Alzheimer Society or the ALS Society of Windsor-Essex would be appreciated by the family.
