Obituary of Bill Field
A resident of Chatham, Bill Field passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 82.
He was the son of the late Leo & Helen (nee Von Gunten) Field.
Forever remembered by his wife of 60 years, Rosemarie (nee Hebblethwaite) Field, Vanessa Vanderkaden (Brian) & Jason Field (Dawnmarie).
Proud grandfather of Amber, Alex, Ian & Emily.
Brother of Diane Guy (Ivan), Peter Field (Judy) & Jim Field.
Brother-in-law of Sonja Russchen (Murray), Peter Hebblethwaite (Linda).
Predeceased by brother-in-law, Darrel Hebblethwaite.
Bill retired from the Bargain Shop in Tilbury after 50 years in Retail. He enjoyed spending time on the boat, skiing in the winter and golfing. Bill & Rosemarie were dedicated members of St. Paul's Congregational Church/Discover Life and sat on the board of Elders for many years.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at St. Paul's Congregational Church/Discover Life, 450 Park Ave West, Chatham from 9:30 am until a Celebration of Bill's Life at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment at a later date.
In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent or St. Paul's Congregational Church/Discover Life.
