Shaw, Heather Marie (nee Mayor)
August 6, 1970 - August 7, 2024

It is with tremendous sadness the family of Heather Shaw announce her passing on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital at the age of 54.

She was the daughter of Joan (nee Robson) Mayor & the late Kerry Mayor. Daughter-in-law of Lorraine (the late Pat) Mahu & Dan Shaw (Julie). Granddaughter-in-law of Helen (the late Charlie).

Forever missed by her husband, Dwayne Shaw and children, Jessie (Tye), Austin (Adrianna), Katelynn (Nathan), Jerzy & Cyennah.

Grandma of Olivia.

Loving Sister of Colleen,  Debbie (Stu) & Glen.

Dear Sister-in-law of Helen (Dave), Nicky (Shawn) & Christy (Mike).

Missed by her nieces & nephews, Brianna, Paige, Emily, Chelsea, Drew, Amanda (Adam), Melanie (Isaak), Matty (Caitlyn), & Catherine.

Great-aunt of Ray, Hunter, David, Victoria, Julia, & Carson.

Cousin of David & Kevin.

Forever loved by her best friends, Cathy & John, Anita, Chris & Kate, Luke & Tiffany, Gabi, Roni & Mary and dear neighbours of Bill & Linda and Gary & Judy.

Heather worked passionately with the YMCA for over 20 years within many different roles. She was an active volunteer within the YMCA and Foster Parent Association, helping children find their path. Dwayne & Heather enjoyed fostering children for over 15 years. She loved to fish and spending time in her Oasis with the kids in the pool. Dwayne & Heather enjoyed traveling to Cuba and day trips around Southwestern Ontario. She was very proud of her large Coca-Cola memorabilia collection. Her honey do list were continuous and she was always planning for the next adventure for Dwayne and herself. Most of all, family was very important to Heather and family get together's were her favourite. Heather will forever be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the floor 2 staff of the London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital for their continuous care and compassion during her time with them.

Family to receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Cremation to follow.

For those attending visiting, please dress casually. 

In memory of Heather, donations may be left towards supporting her two youngest children. Cheques may be payable to Dwayne Shaw.
