With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Shrewsbury resident Harry Hall, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 17, 2024, at the age of 76.
Born in Chatham, Harry was the eldest son of Clinton and Doris (née Charron) Hall.
Harry was a loving father to Jessica (Nicholas) Hall-Clymans and Nicky Hall, and could not have been prouder of his grandchildren Jackson, Owen and Jayden.
He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Charon Robert (John), Cathy Grant, and Carol Hall.
Harry was predeceased by his brother James Hall and his niece Cindy MacKenzie.
Harry will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Shelby, Dan, Daryl, Jesse, Nadia, Matthew, and Ashleigh.
He will be fondly missed by his friend and neighbour, David Noseworthy. You could set your watch by their morning mailbox meeting and many of the world’s problems were solved by their chats at the lake shore.
While it has been a few years since his days of racing, motocross, flying his ultralight, sky diving and thrill seeking, Harry continued chasing that feeling of the wind in his hair and biked to Rondeau Park every day. He had a gift for gardening, and was always happy to share his knowledge and help out a novice gardener. Despite his seemingly grumpy exterior, Harry couldn’t help making friends wherever he went, and his loss will be felt by many throughout Chatham-Kent.
Harry took pride in the family business, Charron Transport, where he worked for many years. It didn’t matter where or whether he was working, he always had projects on the go and his hands were never still.
The family wishes to thank the Chatham campus of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their care and compassion, specifically the dedicated staff in Emergency and the ICU. Special thank you to Jean Welch for your love and support.
As per Harry's wishes, cremation has taken place.
