Miller: David -
It is with the heaviest of hearts, the family of David Michael Miller wish to announce his sudden passing at the age of 72. After years of heartache, he is once again reunited with the love of his life, Debbie who predeceased him in 2022. Cherished father to Kristin Feltz (Jason), Eric (Michelle) and Colin Miller. Adored grandfather to Cali Miller. Step-grandfather to Christine, David, Josh, Nathan, Cayley, Melodie and Matthew.
Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Viola Miller (née Berlet), his mother-in-law Ruth Lachine, father-in-law Stanley Lachine, brother Mark Miller, brothers-in-law Dennis and Randy Lachine and sister-in-law Mary Beth Lachine. Dave will be fondly remembered by brother Paul and his sisters-in-law Kim Lachine and Shirlie Gregson (Jerry) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
David was into all things jazz, golf and most importantly family. He could always be found surrounded by family with a whiskey on ice and a smooth jazz record spinning in the background. He was the record holder for most honest golfer time and time again.
Dave was a dedicated family man ensuring his children never went without. He was a conductor for CP Rail until his retirement in 2017. Dave became the sole communication for his children. He stepped up and nurtured the relationships with his children and grandchild which he enjoyed. Though a man of few words, he had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, making everyone smile in his company.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. We are grateful for the extra time we got to share with him, and truly hope he is finally at peace, back with his soulmate.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the McKinlay Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St, Chatham, on September 10, 2024 from 2:00pm-5:00pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at the McKinlay Reception Centre.
Donations made in memory of David to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
