With heavy hearts our family is saddened  to announce the peaceful passing of George Wonnacott at the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus on September 18, 2024 at the age of 76. 

Born in Chatham, George was the son of F.George and Betty (née Suter) Wonnacott. 

George was the oldest brother to Bill, Jim (Joannie), and Elizabeth (Howie).

Beloved husband of  Pamela and dad to Teddy and Bear. 

Father of Maureen (Ray), Michael (Dawn), Kathryn, Michael G (Melissa), Amanda, Tammy (Rick), Ricky, Brandy (Anissa), Becky (Dave), and Cherysh. 

Grandfather to Kalvin, Brad (Bonnie), Megan (Andre), Cassandra, Rebecca (Rhynhardt), Victoria (Paige), Mikayla, Kennedy, Ava, Grace, Oliver, Quinn, Emily, Brady, Ryan, Evan, Katie, ShelbyLynn (Matt), Spencer, and Ansh.

Great-Grandfather to Annabelle, Aubree, Dominic, Jaxson, A.j., Zayla, Mia, Bridgette, Clark, Grayson, Oakland, Theodore, and Wren-Lee.

Chosen family to Kay, Donna, Shirley, Helen, Manon, Francasco, Henry, Nancy, Johnny, Annie, Jake, Joseph, Jonah and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and including everyone he met over the years from his Rupp family, his Brentwood family, his AA and Al-Anon family along with all the numerous friends, and farmers that became family.

"Nothing is impossible unless I can't do it", George was an amazing man, a man of deep faith; he never acted like he didn't have any faults, he always took responsibility for his actions. Remaining grateful for the life that he was given. His family standing in the forefront of his gratitude. "Once you were in the family, your always in the family". George was always up for traveling with family and hitting the cruise circuits. George lived for the moment, packing in as much life as he could in the time that he had. Making memories with those he loved. "Thank you for all you do"

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Dover Rod and Gun Club at 5806 Heron Line, Grande Pointe on October 26, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm.

Donations made in memory of George to the Chatham-Kent Community Living would be appreciated by the family.
