Carolyn Smythe

Obituary of Carolyn Smythe

Smythe: Dorothy Carolyn (née Manderson) -

"Carolyn Smythe had a passion for fashion, with a love of pink, black and all things sparkly, roses, feathers and angels. Many would say she was beautiful inside and out but even more so than that she had a passion for her Saviour, providing counsel for people with her God given wisdom. She thrived on travel to Israel, a country and people who are near and dear to her heart and one that she visited thirteen times.

Carolyn’s greatest joy on earth were her children and grandchildren."

A life long resident of Dresden, Carolyn Smythe is healed, whole and has passed on to glory on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 75.

Born in Chatham, Carolyn was the daughter of the late James and Alice (née Knop) Manderson.

Beloved wife of the late Bernard.

Cherished mother to Jymal Newell (Clint) and Colin Smythe (Brandey).

The very best Nana to Luke, Jude, Sydney and Kensie.

Much loved sister to David Manderson (Gerry).

Beloved sister-in-law to the late Susan Carey (Dick), Barb St. Pierre and Catherine Matthews (Jim Caldwell).

Sadly missed also by many nieces and nephews.
