Rochon: Dennis Lionel Joseph -

A resident of South Buxton, Dennis Rochon  passed away at home surrounded by family on October 2, 2024 at the age of 71. 

Born in Sudbury, ON, Dennis was the son of Lionel and Marion (née French) Rochon. 

Brother to Lynn, Kathy, Gail, Dave and Tim.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Bernice.

Brother in Law to Linda, Ron, Denis (2012).

Cherished by his three daughters, Melanie (Michael) Hrutka, Crystal-Lee Rochon and Renee-Lise (Nick) Phillip.

Papa to Jessica, Natasha, Alexis, Chayce-Lee, Jaxx Lee, Onyx, Topaz, Ruby and great-papa to Alex. 

Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was a dedicated manager in retail and retired after 48 years of service. He had a passion for woodworking from start to finish, he was a perfectionist with precision cuts using the old analogy "measure twice and cut once". Dennis loved being outside, from hunting and fishing to all of his famous campfires.  He was an avid music lover in his youth. Growing up, sitting outside playing guitar and singing along. Filling out hundreds of crossword puzzle books over the years, always finishing it before the next edition came out. Dennis took great pride in his home and his yard. His greatest pride was his family and enjoyed spending time with them as much he could. He was a man of few words and many hats but the ones he wore the best were husband, "hun", dad and papa.  

Visitation for Dennis will be held from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Saturday October 5th, 2024 at McKinlay Funeral Home 459 St.Clair Street in Chatham; a Funeral Service will be held the following day on Sunday October 6th, 2024 at 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Donations made in memory of Dennis to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
