Obituary of Gillian Maureen Neill
A resident of Chatham, Gillian Neill passed peacefully at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the age of 89.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur & Florence (nee Ashford) Woodman.
Forever remembered by her husband of 68 years, Terence Neill.
Loving mother of Karen Attridge (Richard), & the late Elizabeth Neill.
Proud grandmother of Robert Neill, Matthew Smith (Kendra) & Megan Pinsonneault (Jacob).
Great-grandmother of Austyn Green (Reegan).
Sister of Janet Price and sister-in-law, Barbara Southall (Jim). Predeceased by her brothers, Ken Woodman, Brian Woodman, & brother-in-laws, Cliff Price, Ken Neill & John Neill.
Survived by sister-in-law, Pat Woodman and son-in-law, Dan Smith.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Gillian retired from the Bank of Montreal as a Teller after over 10 years of Service. She enjoyed volunteering her time as a taxi cab driver for her grandchildren, and helping others. Gillian loved to bake, playing bingo and spending time in her garden. She was an avid Blue Jays fan. Her infectious and protective personality will be dearly missed by her family, and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Meadow Park Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A Private Family Service to take place with cremation to follow.
In memory of Gillian, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
