Obituary of Gurdeep Kaur Bhangav
Bhangav: Gurdeep Kaur (Sandhu) -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Kot Todarmal, District of Gurdaspur Punjab, India, and Kamloops, British Columbia, Gurdeep Kaur Bhangav passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the age of 90.
Born in Raichak, Punjab, India, Gurdeep Kaur was the daughter of the late Mohan Singh and Harnam Kaur Sandhu.
Beloved wife to the late Avtar Singh Bhangav since 1953(1996).
Loving mother of the late Rajinder Kaur (Darshan Singh), the late Ragwinder Kaur (Gurmeet Singh), Surinder Singh (Balbir Kaur), Varinder Singh (Balbir Kaur), Kawaljit Kaur (Kishan sarup Singh).
Proud Beeji to 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Gurdeep Kaur will be remembered for her faith, her kindness and her love for her family. She would never say no to a special request to make her famous prontay.
Gurdeep Kaur always appreciated her nephew Jatinder Singh Bhangav, son of Hardeep Singh Bhangav, for bringing her husband Avtar Singh Bhangav from India to Canada on his deathbed for an emergency procedure. He lived for another 14 years, much to the delight of Gurdeep Kaur and her family. She also wanted to thank her children for supporting her and Avtar Singh in Canada and the USA. Thanks to Dr. Jasmine Dhaliwal and the palliative team with Bayshore for their compassionate care, allowing for her peaceful death at home.
Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 12:00pm until the Funeral Service at 1:00pm.
