Obituary of Ruth Ann Oxley

A resident of Chatham, Ruth Ann Oxley (nee Myers) passed away, with her family by her side, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 75. 

She was the daughter of the late Russ & Dorothy (nee McCart) Myers. 

Ruth Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Keith Oxley and daughter Crystal Oxley (JF Clement). She will be reunited with her late son, Patrick Oxley (2002). 

Gramma of Jessica Crummy-Oxley & Alexis Clement. 

Mother-in-law of Michelle Crummy (Wade Crummy).

Sister of the late Larry Myers. 

Sister-in-law of Sharon Jubenville (the late Leonard), Charles Oxley (the late Jackie), & Gail Oxley. 

Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family. 

Ruth Ann enjoyed home renovations, drag racing, & baseball (Go Blue Jays!). She traveled extensively with Keith, traveling all over to various drag racing events. Ruth Ann had many pets throughout the years and enjoyed spending time with her furry friends, Misty, Ruffie, Rebel, Princess & Daisy. Family and her pets were very important to Ruth Ann and loved partaking in any family celebration. She always made sure to make everyone feel special. She will forever be missed by all who knew her. 

A Celebration of Ruth Ann's Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. 

In memory of Ruth Ann, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
