McLagan: Marilyn Beth (nee Oulds)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn McLagan. A resident of Chatham, Marilyn passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age 82. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Helen Oulds.
Marilyn will be dearly missed by her husband James McLagan. Dear mother to Lori McCorkle (Ken), David Lawson, Brian Lawson, Cheryl Lewis (Deryck) and David McLagan (Melanie).
Proud grandmother to Kendra Deelstra (Mike), Mark McCorkle (Emily), Andrew McCorkle, Nathan Perry (Christina), Cassidy Perry (Austin), Abigail McLagan and Connor McLagan.
Proud Great Grandmother to Amelia, Memphis, Cameron, Teddy, Murphy and predeceased by Clarke.
Marilyn will also be missed by her sister Gayle Corso (John) and nephews John Corso (Heather), Jason Corso and Jeremy (Tamara).
Marilyn worked for Christian Horizons and had a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. She loved travelling with Jim, often wintering in Florida and enjoying summers at the trailer with her family. Marilyn had a strong faith which guided her life in many decisions that she made.
We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St Angelas Meadow Retirement Home in Chatham for their compassionate care.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service to celebrate Marilyn’s life at 11:00 a.m. Private interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
As your expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Marilyn’s life can be made to Loads of Love, CK Animal Rescue or Karis Disability Services (formerly Christian Horizons) would be appreciated by the family.
