Moulton: Vera F. (née Pardy) -
Vera Moulton of Chatham passed away peacefully at Blenheim Community Village on December 2nd, 2024 at the age of 92.
Born in Grand Bank, Newfoundland, Vera was the daughter of the late Eli and Lillian Pardy.
Beloved wife to the late Reginald Moulton (1964).
She was the youngest of 8 siblings and is predeceased by sisters Francis, Irene, Lily, Annie, Dorothy, Marjorie and brother George. Also predeceased by nieces Irene, Lily, and Shirley.
Left to mourn are her one and only son Murray (Elaine). She was the beloved grandmother to Jason (Brandy), Justin (Jasmine), Kristen (Luke), Karolyn (Ben) and her cherished great-grandchildren Kara, Alexyss, Elena, Rosalie, Claire and Dawson Murray along with many nieces and nephews.
Vera had retired in 1992 from Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank, Newfoundland, moving then to New Brunswick and shortly after relocated to Chatham-Kent to be closer to her son and his family. She was the family matriarch, taking on the role of "Nan" and enjoyed cooking and entertaining to everyone that visited. Vera made everyone feel welcome and loved in the home with that east coast hospitality. Nan will be missed by many for her selflessness and her kind spirit.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home in Blenheim at 141 Park Street on Wednesday December 11, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Vera to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
