Greg’s life was a tapestry of hard work, joy, and cherished memories. After graduating in 1975 from the Eastman Kodak Medical Program for Radiography, he dedicated 20 years of service as an X-Ray Technician at Public General Hospital in Chatham, rarely missing a day of work. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and his pride in his work left a lasting impression.

Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to proudly own and run several businesses. He managed a commercial cleaning company in Vineland, a gas station and variety store in Ingersoll, and even a beloved BBQ restaurant in Chatham. His work history was equally diverse. Over the years, he took on roles as a farmhand, a porter at Pearson International Airport, a staff member at the historic William Pitt Hotel, and worked for the Ford Motor Company.

Music was a lifelong passion, with jazz holding a special place in his heart. Greg loved tickling the piano keys, and if you were fortunate enough, you might have convinced him to play a tune or two. He was a true charmer, with a sparkle in his eye and a laugh always at the ready, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who met him. Known for his generosity, he welcomed visitors with a "stiff pull" and always had a story to share. Those stories, brimming with wit and nostalgia, will be deeply missed.

Greg often reflected on his travels and the joy they brought. He spoke fondly of driving the California coast, holidays with Joyce, visiting Calgary to see his great-grandchildren, and family trips to Florida. His pride in his cars was legendary—they were always spotless and meticulously maintained. Later in life, his priorities shifted to family. He found joy in cooking a good meal, being a steady presence for loved ones, and offering help to anyone who needed it.

Greg’s life was one of devotion to family, love for music, and the joy of sharing a story or a laugh. Soul City, as he fondly called Buxton his hometown, was dear to him and he would frequently visit and reminisce with friends and family.

Rarely missing a day of work in whatever he did, he was truly loved by all, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
