Van Every: John Charles -
A resident of Orford Township, John Van Every passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the age of 61.
Born in Chatham, John was the son of the late Alfred and Grace (née Helmer) Van Every.
Beloved husband of Brenda Burke (née Verstraete).
Father to Brandon Burke (Tiffany), Jordan Burke (Crystal), Stephanie Gawne and Amanda Horvath (CJ).
Proud Papa of Gabriella, Kalyn, Bruce, Lucas, Adriana, Olivia, Skyler and Shayden.
Dear brother to the late Ben Van Every (Doreen), the late Bill Van Every, Helen Lehman (Fred), Larry Van Every, Linda Humphrey (Murray), Rosie Garton (Ken), Reg Van Every (Nancy), Jim Van Every (Linda), Shirley Faubert (late Pat), Gabby Van Every (Linda Hearn), Dorothy Haines, Sandra Dotterman (Mike), the late Donna Jean Van Every and Tom Van Every (Robbi Jo).
Brother-in-law to the late Peter Verstraete (Carol) and Rose Haines.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
John enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with family, friends and his hunting dogs.
As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at the Highgate Legion on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
Donations made in memory of John to Four Counties Health Services Foundation or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
