To the Paine family, so sorry to hear of Norine’s passing. She was a genuine, hard working & kind lady. She visited many many people, including my Mom, in her church family & community. Her talents included her beautiful wedding cakes. She made ours 36 years ago. She always had time to chat whenever you saw her & she wanted to know how your family was. She will be missed in her community. Heaven gained a gem in Norine. Sending our condolences to all of you.

So sorry to hear of Norines passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Norine was always doing special things for everyone she knew. I received many kindnesses from here as well as did my family. When my son had back surgery Norine made him a fruit basket and she had never even met him! It’s those kinds of things I remember about her. She quietly did kind deeds and never wanted recognition. Always in the background working hard and never expecting praise.That’s the true Christian spirit at work. And she was a true Christian. She will be missed by many.

Norine welcomed us into her E.S.U.C family. She made time for many. She wore a beautiful smile with a pleasant approach. Such a beautiful heart & so heartwarming. You knew she just completed work at the church when one saw her walking home & sometimes she welcomed a ride home. Now she has taken her final walk, to heaven. To the entire Paine Family! Our sincere condolences on the passing or your wife, mother, grandmother. Norine was such a beautiful, kind soul! Always smiling and always asking how everyone was when I seen her. I use to love running into her uptown or grocery store and always had a nice chat. When I seen her walking I would always ask her if she needed a ride and on the rare occasion would say yes, but most times she would say no thank-you it's nice I can walk. Her cakes were always beautiful and delicious. She was truly a wonderful person and I know she will be missed. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers as you journey forward through life without her. Hugs to all!

To the Paine family - I so remember Norine as one beautiful lady. She babysat my 2 kids when I worked at the Bookshelf Bindery with hubby Ron. Also took the kids to Sunday School on Sundays. Lots of good memories of things with her and Tom and David mostly. Jesse was just born when we moved out of town. Last talked to her uptown in Ridgetown and offered her a ride but she did prefer to walk. Sincere condolences to you all. She sure will be missed by everyone. Bonnie Richardson

Deepest condolences to the Paine family. Noreen was a lovely lady, in every sense. Her cakes were always delicious she made.I remember singing in the church choir, & her being in the senior choir. Both choirs would do Christmas caroling.

We are so sad to hear of Norine’s passing. She was truly one of the very best – a wonderful Christian and a true friend to so many. She was a steadfast worker for her church (Erie St. United). She was in charge of catering throughout her life in Ridgetown and a group leader in the UCW. She was presented with a UCW Life Membership pin in token of all her work. She sang in the choir and headed up the visiting committee for the church throughout her life, visiting not only church members, but carrying a welcome to new arrivals to town. Her amazing cake making and decorating skills were appreciated by many. She will be sadly missed! Our condolences to her family and many loved ones. – Carol & Art Nadelle

I have a story to share: I went to Norine back in August of 1974 and said that me and John were getting married and would she be able to make our wedding cake - I told her that I had no idea what I wanted and could she just suggest something - she told me that she always wanted to make a wedding cake with a fountain - I said go for it and told her my colours were yellow - It was just beautiful - a work of art and we had so many compliments. A very talented lady with a kind heart. You will be missed Norine. God Bless you and all your family.
