Obituary of Norine Paine

PAINE: Norine Margorie (Cartwright) -

Norine was a long standing resident of Ridgetown, ON who passed away at the Riverview Gardens Long Term Care Home in Chatham on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the age of 82.

Norine was born in Coatsworth, ON and was the daughter of the late Harry and Lucy (Moore) Cartwright.

A beloved wife to Ronald Douglas Paine of 61 years and a loving mother to Thomas (Jana), David (Celeste) and Scott, who will miss her dearly and remembered always.

Norine was also the proud grandmother to Paula Paine (Tim VanRootselaar), Joshua Paine (Bita), Christopher Paine and Michael Paine.

She was the oldest of five siblings, Ann Willis (late David), Marilyn Dales (late Jim), the late Bill Cartwright (Michelle) and the late Wayne Cartwright, all of whom were very close growing up and spent lots of fun family gatherings together over the years.

Norine also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours; unfortunately far too many to name.

Norine was famous for making cakes for every occasion throughout Ridgetown and the county of Chatham-Kent. Extremely creative at her craft, she could make just about anything for anyone. A devoted Christian was actively involved with the church, the choir and all its charitable work. Her faith in God was unconditional, she loved people, community and was adored by everyone who met her.

Visitation will be at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
