Obituary of Margaret Ure

URE: Margaret (nee White) -

A resident of R.R. # 2 Ridgetown, Margaret Ure passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at her side on Thursday, June 15, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Redford, Michigan, Margaret was the only child of the late Walter and Ida (Spencer) White.

Beloved wife of 46 years to Glen Ure.

Step-mother of Robert Ure (Dawn).

Proud Grandma to Dalton Ure and McKenna Ure.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family and pets.

Margaret was the Founder of Uretopia Kennels and world renown award winning breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs. She was a member of the American and Canadian Kennel Clubs for almost 30 years. Margaret followed the American and Canadian dog show circuit, and frequented the odd antique shop along the way. Throughout the years, she made many rich friendships which she held dear to this day.

Margaret will be remembered for her strong, independent and entrepreneurial nature.

Special thanks to the family members that were with her in her final hours. As per Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place.
